Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I  will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$998.38 for summer tuition. I was able to pay this via credit card and will earn 2% of the transaction as cash back.

$129.70 on food. I wanted to wait until the month began but I was out of a lot of things. The most expensive thing was $17 on a slab of salmon. I cut it into four pieces for different meals. The per meal cost is still quite high, but I don’t eat salmon every day!

I also spent about $15 on cat toys and treats for the princess. It is her birthday and I am going to spoil her silly!!!!

$73.63 for the electric bill. This is not a bad bill considering what I have paid in the past with other roommates. As always, the current roommate should give me half of the bill but I am not counting on it.

$28.10 on gas. I filled my tank to the brim as usual. I should be able to make this tank last the full month since I will not be driving much for the first week of the month. I am working over the summer but I should have a pretty flexible schedule. My goal is to be able to work from home at least two days a week so that I can avoid driving every day.

This week my financial inflows were:

$Paycheck! Yes we got paid on the first of the month so that was nice for my checking account.
