Happy birthday to me!!!!!!

I think I did better  with saving money at CVS since I did not spend any money out of pocket but still got about $7 worth of items. I previously had $30 in a gift card from the time I filled a new prescription for my mother.

I will be filling later prescriptions at Walmart because the prices there are lower than at CVS but that is another topic.

I got my spring spending bonus of $1.50 extra bucks and added that to my ECB, making it a total of $39.50 in coupons . I only did one transaction because my original plan was to get the panty liners only which cost 99 cents and gave back 99 cents in ECB, making them totally free. I decided to throw in some other items like the dishwashing liquid because mine was low but it was not in stock. I had to end up getting another item to be able to use the coupon and not lose my money and then I just decided to go a little bit crazy.

Item: Pringles potato chips (get 2 at $2, originally $1.79 each)

Price: $2.00

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $1.00

Item: CVS panty shields times 2

Price: $0.89 (was $0.99 in flier, so I made a 10 cent profit on them!!!!!!)

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $1.98 ($0.99*2)

Item: Glade candle

Price: $2.99

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $0.00

I used $0.77 from the gift card because my balance was $0.77 and I only had a coupon for $1.50. If I had used the coupon then I would have lost the difference so I ended up swiping the gift card.

Total out of pocket today: $0.00

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned today: $3.98

Total out of pocket to date: $93.69

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned to date: $103.53

CVS Extra Care Bucks Used to date: $66.82

CVS Extra Care Bucks Balance to date: $36.71

My goal now is to roll that $36.71 over and over and not have to spend any money out of pocket at CVS. I think it can be done if I stick to items that offer ECB that are at least the same as the original price. If I had only bought the panty liners today then I would have made that goal.

How long do you think I can last?

Join me next week as I look for more ways to save money as I visit CVS.
