How I Save Money At CVS: November 17

I am on a quest to see how much stuff I can get from CVS without spending any extra money out of my pocket. Today I paid $0 for $26.49 worth of items.

Zero dollars for all that stuff.

Today was my GREATEST day at CVS ever!!!! It totally made up for the day I lost $1.59 by not paying attention!

The cashier (different from the one who gave me poor customer service) was actually helpful in the best way to use the coupons. She said that I had gotten a great deal and she was a coupon user herself who was happy to see customers like me.

I also got a new gift card in the mail in the amount of $10.00 from MyPoints.

Transaction 1

Item: Efferdent

Price: $6.49

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $0.00

Coupon used: $2.00 CVS extra care

Item: 4 Glade glass scents

Price: $2.50 each

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $5.00

Coupon used:$2.50 Buy One get one free + $11.99 ECB

These items were totally FREE to me today.

Transaction 2

Item: 4 Glade regular candles

Price: $2.50 each

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $5.00

Coupon used: $5.00 ECB from above + $5.00 ECB

I now have these 4 candles plus the two from Sunday to add to my collection.

I love having my place smell good so I am now well stocked on air fresheners for a while.

These items were also totally FREE to me today since no tax was charged on the candles.

The efferdent is for my mother so don’t get any crazy ideas.

I might end up giving some of the candles away as gifts (to the people who do not read this blog of course…so they won’t know what I really spent on their gifts.)

Amount Due today (paid with gift card): $0.00

Total out of pocket today: $0.00

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned today: $10.00

  3. @ Becky
I hope we don’t shop at the same CVS because I might have to fight you for those Glade candles. 🙂

    @ Tanyetta,
Thanks for dropping by….I keep going to your site and looking at the pics of your family.

  4. Good job! I’m so jealous about those Glade candles…I think I mentioned a few days ago that we only get 1/6 of the deals in NYC that the rest of the country gets, and I missed out completely. I assume, like me, you are drooling over the free ECB stuff on offer on Black Friday! I’ll be in New Jersey that day, and fully capable of taking advantage of CVS – and I’ve got $17 in ECB to burn, woohoo!
