I am not getting married BUT I have been reading a few bridal magazines lately. I found out that many people tend to go overboard and go over their budgets when a wedding comes around.

Here is a wedding money mistake that people often make.

9. Not Thinking Creatively

Many people get stuck in a rut and think that there is really only one way to plan a wedding. They think you MUST have the wedding hall or the matching outfits in order to have a successful ceremony.

This leads to trying to make the budget fit what you think you should have, instead of trying to make your needs and wants fit your budget.

Instead of having the wedding at an expensive dining hall why not book it at a restaurant? You might have to pay more for the food this way…but you save on the cleaning afterwards.

Instead of trying to have all the bridesmaids in matching outfits, why not suggest a color scheme and have them all get inexpensive dresses on their own budgets that fit the colors of your wedding.

Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day it is a good time to be thinking about being creative as well when it comes to going out and celebrating. Since many couples decide to go out for Valentine’s Day expect to wait longer for your food….or go to some out of the way place and get faster service!!!!!
