I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.

This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.

So again to clarify (since I get so many questions), this shows the cash FLOW for the month. On Day 2 of every month I will have a negative FLOW because I have paid rent etc so money has LEFT my checking account. I have not had any money come in on Day 2 of the current month since I got paid on day 27 or 30 or 31 of the previous month so that income is counted for LAST month.

twentyIncome for the month to date: $112.14

Expenses for the month to date: $4508.27

Net effect: -$4396.13

Since the last posting income for the week was $25 earned by redeeming points from one of my credit cards. I now have the option to direct deposit any redemption straight to a checking account so I will be using that option from now on instead of getting checks which I then have to go deposit.

I earned another $4.09 from my investment with Lending Club and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with with the returns I have been getting on my small investment. I will continue to keep Lending Club as one of my income streams for the future and as time goes by I hope to add in even more loans as more and more people turn to peer to peer lending for their small loans.

I redeemed $8.54 in coupons this week which is great since I had not been redeeming that much in coupons over the last few month. I spent it on items that I needed at the time, not on random fluff like some of the extreme coupon users do.

I filled up the tank from almost empty at a cost of $37.30, bringing my gas total for the month to $68.81. This leaves me with $6.19 in the gas budget for the month but with roll over allocations from January which allow me to still be below the total gas budget for the year.

I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
