Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I  will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$217.64 on car servicing and repairs. I needed to get a 95K mile check up and had been wanting to get my headlights resurfaced as well. They had become very dull and dim and were not bright at night.

In addition, I got an oil change, including filters. After transferring this payment from the Car Fund, I am left with $200.34. The Car Fund is that mini account which is used for car repairs and is separate from my emergency fund. I have an automatic transfer of $10 every month to that account and use it for car related items, excluding gas. Hopefully I can build that account up again before needing to use it for any car related spending.

$29.71 on gas. As usual I filled my tank to the brim. The last time I bought gas was at the beginning of November. This is in keeping with need to fill up my tank about once a month.

Today is Christmas Day!!! Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy the rest of the holidays.
