Okay folks I had to go BACK to the optometrist today because my contacts felt very dry and my vision was blurred. By the time 2 o’clock rolled around I felt like there was sand in my eyes. My contacts were sticking to my eyeballs and I could feel the edges of the lenses scraping against my eyelids.
When I explained how I felt the doctor told me that the contacts they had given me were not for people with dry eyes! I said to myself…..then WHY did you give them to me when I specifically said that I had a problem with the contacts drying out my eyes.
Anyway the point of the story is that I ended up getting a free replacement pair since it was their fault at the office. So I ended up saving because I did not have to pay for the replacements.
I lost time and money because I had to:
- Drive to the doctor (gas)
- Take time off work (lost wages)
The cost of the new contacts is more than the money I lost so I came out on top this time….and my eyes feel much better now.
The bad thing is now the contacts I got are much more expensive……..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…….but I don’t think I will be getting them.
The doctor suggested I get Acuvue Oasys (which feel REALLY good on my eyes)….but they do not come in colors.
I think I will stick to my Impressions colors because I do so love the colors and leave the Oasys for another time.
