The changes in my insurance with moving to the High Deductible Plan caused my premiums to go down so I am now getting $90.08 more per paycheck. I had decided to put in $75 towards my Health Savings Account so that means I have a net gain of $15.08 on my zero based budget. I have decided to ignore that $15.08 and act like it is not even there. This way that money will go into my checking account buffer which is my personal overdraft protection.
I have moved some budget figures around a bit and increased some areas of spending, while decreasing other areas. The beauty of a budget like mine is that I can move money around and as long as I stay within the total amount I am okay. Of course it helps that I have overestimated most of my categories but still managed to make a budget that is less than what my actual monthly salary works out to be.
Congrats on the extra $90.08!
Always great to hear whenever you are gonna be paying less on something, and really great move you are doing by putting most of it towards your savings!
Till then,
Jean
Getting an extra $90.08 is pretty cool. It’s wise of you to save it properly too.
That is great to hear you were able to save almost one hundred dollars LuLuGal. Also putting the money you saved into your health savings account was a great idea.
