Well it is the beginning of a new month and so the monthly zero based budget has been reset.
Every Friday I post about my finances for the week in an effort to monitor my income and expenses. I used to post all of the actual figures but I have recently decided to stop doing this.
I will now post SOME of my actual expenses and leave the rest to your imagination. All income and expenses are recorded in Mint and any amounts are rolled over into the next month.
This week my expenses were:
$12.49 for bread, cheese, and yogurt. This was a quick run to the store as I had been out of bread and cheese for the last week and I was tired of eating crackers and peanut butter for breakfast. I also got the yogurt to eat with some ground flax seed as a snack later during the day.
I also paid rent and the car payment so it was good to have those two taken care of. My electric bill is due on the 12th so I will pay that next week so I can keep my money with me as long as I can.
We have finals this week and I also have to finish grading so I do not have time to go shopping. I will do a real grocery run on Sunday because I have a big final on Saturday and I need the time today and tomorrow to batten down the hatches.
This week my income was:
My salary, because we got paid on the first of the month.
I also got $11.11 from an app that I use to help me keep track of my diet and exercise. If you make your goals then you get money added to your account and I was able to withdraw this amount.
