Well folks I got my first experience subbing today and so far it has been ok. It is not in a classroom….it is actually in the library but I am still going to get paid the same amount so I am not complaining. This is quite an experience for me and I was very eager to make a good impression. I got up rather early since I had to get a ride….at 5:40 to be exact. I was ready a good ten minutes before my ride got there and I got to the school early.

Everything was set out for me and when I started to do the work I found out that the stuff had already been done. The paperwork I had was from a previous day so now I have nothing to do for the rest of the day except check to make sure none of the students are going to chat sites or putting the television on BET.

This is actually not bad for my first subbing experience and I will be happy to see the check next month…whatever the size of it may be. Right now I am looking at students sign in and out but nobody is even taking or returning any books so I cannot even practice doing that on the computer.

There is a really nice lady who has been checking up on me so that has been good. The student assistants have also been cool and they do what I tell them to do so the morning has run smoothly since I started. I hope the rest of the day goes well so I can leave this place with a smile on my face and in my heart.
