Welcome to tracking of income and expenses for the month. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
So again to clarify (since I get so many questions), this shows the cash FLOW for the month. On Day 2 of every month I will have a negative FLOW because I have paid rent etc so money has LEFT my checking account. I have not had any money come in on Day 2 of the current month since I got paid on day 27 or 30 or 31 of the previous month so that income is counted for LAST month.
Income for the month to date: $13.64
Expenses for the month to date: $1665.92
Net effect: -$1652.28
Since the last posting I got $3.96 from Lending Club and $5.03 from Prosper from the loans that I made to people there.
I paid $78.65 for electricity which leaves a balance of $6.35 in the budget for that bill. I did go all out with the heat this winter because I have been feeling really crappy and did not want to be cold. I need to monitor my use of the house heater and use the space heater more in the upcoming months to get the bill down to where it used to be.
I made the first of two payments towards the car loan and the second one will be going out on the 17th of the month.
I made a snowflake payment of $68.38 towards the FINAL credit card that I had a balance on and I am steadily reducing this balance. I had planned on being totally out of credit card debt next year but because I will be having my wisdom teeth taken out next week I will not have as much money to apply to the debt snowball after all.
I paid $19.95 for one year of Magic Jack services so that my father can have unlimited calling to me and to my uncle in Canada through his computer.
I paid $65.00 towards the (shared) cellphone and that took care of my portion of the bill. I spent $34.42 on food from WallyWorld and still have $82.87 on my food budget for the month. I got some more boxed soup and pudding cups so that I can eat while I am recovering from my surgery. I bought some instant milkshake thing and I will be trying that out on Saturday morning to how I handle it. I will also eat the baby food that I bought in anticipation of not being able to chew and I hope it tastes good. If all this stuff works out well then I will do one more shopping trip to stock up on about two week’s worth of thick liquid food while my gums heal.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
i am waiting to see your money balance in the end of the month ( of course there will be negative results cause its christmas and gift must be bought 🙂 )
Good thing you stocked up on the soft foods! Don’t forget mashed potatoes! =)
Good thing
