Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.

Income for the month to date: $250.00

Expenses for the month to date: $203.63

Net effect: $46.37

It is only the second day of my finances for the month and I have already spent 81% of the income for the month thus far. Granted the income is very small now but this is still a huge amount.

I have paid the electricity and water bills from last month because they are both actually due on the 6th and the 3rd respectively. The amount for expenses would have been higher, except for the fact that I paid rent on the 30th of last month instead of the 1st of this month.

I also spent some money on clothes (you guys know I cannot resist getting new underwear and socks!) and a phone card so I could call my mother.

I spent just about $8 on food, including milk and juice and I feel confident that I will be able to stay within my food budget this week. Remember that I have that surgery coming up on the 26th of this month so I need to stay below my budget on everything this month to have the money to pay the bills when they start coming in.
