Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $29.33
Expenses for the month to date: $1570.15
Net effect: -$1540.82
This month looks UGLY and I do not know if I will be able to save money at all. I spent $30.64 on gas this week because I had to drive a good bit to go to a job fair. It was a big disappointment because:
- The job was filled by the time I moved up in the line to the recruiter
- The job was not one that I wanted to do
- I was not certified in that area
The reason I could not know what the position was before hand was because this was a teacher job fair. There would be a desk with a recruiter and the name of the school. There would be a sign on the desk saying Math or Special Education or English….etc. Unless you got someone who was in the line ahead of you who had found out what the position was then you would have to wait until it was your turn.
There were some times I would be in the line and then when I was three from the front the recruiter would announce that the position had been filled and would everyone for Special Education please leave the line. This also happened with other subject areas as well.
I hate teacher job fairs!
So anyway because I drove to those two job fairs (one was three hours away and the other was 1 hours and 40 minutes…each one way) I have spent $79.37 in gas for the month. This includes the small amount of driving I had to do during the week to go my training sessions etc. The gas budget for the month had been bumped up to $80 but I will be going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over that amount.
I found out that my mother has to come up here for medical treatment so I need to add in driving up to the airport to pick her up and then driving back up to the hospital for all the tests etc.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
I feel your pain!
I see Bill Clinton is going incognito by using the moniker of Wendi (I feel your pain!). Nice try, lay off the Mickey D’s!
