This month I’m trying to save half of my income. I’ve had a major financial shakeup over the last few days and I need to start saving aggressively for the next few months.

I’ll update as time goes by and things settle down a bit more. Hopefully I can attain this goal and save the second paycheck of the month. If nothing major happens this month this should be an easy task for me. I do not anticipate any large purchases in the next few months, especially since I already had this large outlay for the new laptop!

Saving half of your income for a month can usually be tough for most people. It would be hard for me any other time except for very careful budgeting. In addition, I am working from home and actually saving a bit more money than when I went to the office all the time.
