I’d like to start saving money with meal planning. I don’t intend to go overboard with the meal prepping that has been so popular lately.
What I plan to do
Instead I want to simply cook larger portions and place them in containers. I can keep them in the fridge for up to about three days.

This will ensure I have lunches for work for those days. Then on the third day I can prepare another batch of food for the next two days.
I really don’t like eating food that I know has been sitting around for a few days. I also don’t want to eat the same thing for an entire week. Usually you see this happening with most meal prep posts.
I think even if I simply eat leftovers the second day this meal planning will help me to save money. Knowing that I have a meal ready to go will prevent me from buying something at work.
