I recently told people about my drawing for a FREE Gas card here at How I Save Money because so many people were talking about how the high gas prices have affected them.
Shawn says he is tired of hearing all the talk about "high" gas prices and we need to Quit Complaining about Gas Prices . Wow. I am not sure if I got slapped for whining there or not….but it is an interesting read to see it from his point of view.
If you are not like Shawn..and still want a chance to win the card remember to enter the drawing. The rules are simple:
- Write a short post on how high gas prices have affected you and link back to this post.
- Subscribe to my feed (and let me know).
- Link back to this post from your blog, highlighting the contest.
You can do any one or all three of the above actions and you will get an entry for each one.
LOL I hope you didn’t take my post the wrong way 🙂 Oh, and I still am eligible to win right? After all, I did complete all of the necessary steps to win heh although im sure my chances are much lower now LOL
Dude! 🙂
You took all the steps so you get 3 entries.
Try checking out the Drive $marter Challenge (www.drivesmarterchallenge.org). You can enter your specific vehicle data and figure out how much money you can save my taking six fuel-efficiency steps. They also provide other fuel-efficiency tips to help you save on gas costs.
Someone who doesn’t drive gets entries in a gas card contest? What is up with that?
That d*** doesn’t have a clue about how much having to drop an extra $100-200 a month in gas hurts, especially when wages are static, or are going down, when health and insurance costs are going up, when food and other expenses (such as electricity, gas [no automotive gas, but gas for heating], clothing, … basically, any of the necessities that people cannot live with out [literally, CANNOT live without]) are all going up, hearing about all the god d*** oil and energy companies raking in tens of billions of dollars a year p***** me off.
And before anybody decides to say some b******* like “You don’t need clothes to live” or “you can live without heat/house/electricity/whatthe****ever”, I live in the United States. I DO NOT live in f****** AFRICA, where going without things such as those is normal. If you have no home here, having a job is very difficult. No clothes? You’ll have a home in jail. No heat/electricity? Then 2/3 of the United States is fully uninhabitable. Toss in the inability to have A/C, then upwards of 3/4 of the United States is almost uninhabitable.
So I say it again: Some d*** who can’t even drive is getting a chance to win a gas card, when other people can make far better use of it? F*** that, and if that is how this site/blog operate, then f*** this site, as well.
And I fully realize that this comment will never be posted. The comments are moderated. I see that. This comment is directed for the idiot who is running this contest.
Seriously, giving a chance to win a f****** GAS CARD to a person who CANNOT EVEN DRIVE?!
You would probably vote for a third term for Bush, wouldn’t you?
THIS COMMENT HAS BEEN MODERATED BY THE OWNER OF THE BLOG TO PUT STARS ON THE OFFENDING FOUL WORDS. 🙁
WHILE I DO THINK THE COMMENT IS INTERESTING, I WILL NOT TOLERATE THOSE TYPES OF WORDS APPEARING ON THE BLOG. 🙂
So now I should be excluded from a contest because you don’t think I should win? Yeah, that sounds fair.
I’m not rich – I don’t eat gold and have a flying pony. I go through the same things you talk about – food, electricity, clothing, housing, etc. are all going up, so I am not immune to that. I agree, clothes are necessary, never said they weren’t, so that whole paragraph was kinda silly.
I could use the gas card just as well as you. I could A) give it to a friend for taking me places instead of simply giving them money or B) (which I will do if I win), simply turn around and give it away on my blog as well as adding even more money to the pot for the winner. Now would it be fair for me to say you aren’t eligible to win my contest simply because you posted a spiteful rant?
