These are just a few ways to save money today on Valentine’s Day while still showing your love for someone. You can go all out with a home cooked meal and dress it up by using napkins and lighting some candles. Your loved one will appreciate the effort and it shows you really care, especially if you are not the best chef around.
There are many other ways to show your love that do not involve spending a lot of money so try to utilize those but still be loving and caring today.
My bf got a 6 pack of his favorite beer and candy. Under $10 and he was happy! It’s not as redneck as it sounds… he rarely drinks anymore to help save money–so it was well deserved! 🙂
@ Shauna:
Even when we are being frugal it still makes sense to leave a little wiggle room to splurge once in a while so you don’t go crazy.
Glad he enjoyed it and that was not too much money anyway!
Even though she may appreciate the effort you put in, she may not appreciate your frugality as it suggests you may not have the means to support her. Women are naturally attracted to men who can illustrate an ability to protect her and her offspring. This is why I buy status symbols and alter my behavior.
@ John:
I would think that you should have the type of relationship where your significant other can understand that you are going through a hard time and appreciate that you still made an effort.
