Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I  will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$32.71 to fill up my gas tank. I noticed I was almost on empty on Monday and said I would get gas later that night. I forgot and on Tuesday when I was almost home I noticed my gas light was on. I got scared since I did not want to run out of gas in the middle of the street.

I’ve read a number of posts that say you can drive a few miles once the gas light comes on before you run out of gas. I’ve seen claims of going as much as 45 miles and there are websites with people’s stories of how far they have driven. I was about 2 miles away from the gas station and no more than 2 miles away from work so I think I fit safely into the predicted range.

I had no idea what time the gas light had come on so I just kept praying I could make it to the gas station before my car quit. Luckily I made it and I am going back to my old fill up schedule. I will go to fill up when I am on the last quarter tank!

This week my financial inflows were:

$15.07 from Pact for fulfilling weekly Pact. The app is sadly shutting down so this will be the last cash inflow from them. I will really miss this as it was a motivator for me to get my daily steps.
