It is time again to check up on my finances and see how well I am sticking to my monthly budget. This week I received $9.32 from Lending Club and was able to invest $25 in a new loan.

I spent $60.62 on food which put me right at the budget for food for the month so I should not be going grocery shopping again for the rest of the month if I want to stay under budget. This is a good thing because it has gotten cold and we even got a day of snow already, so I don’t want to go outside anyway.

I am excited about the beginning of the new year that is coming up as I can take a new approach to my finances. I will be using a continuous rolling budget for the entire year so I need this year to end so I can reset everything.
