I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. I normally go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. I will now post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.
This week my financial outflows were:
$19.27 treating a friend to a birthday celebration. This amount covered food for both lunch and dinner so it broke down to a reasonable cost for 4 meals! I think that it was a really nice surprise for my friend’s birthday since it was unexpected, even though it was not much. They always say it is the thought that counts and unfortunately my friend was scheduled to work that day. I decided a lunch and dinner surprise would be a good thing after a long day of work.
The phone bill came in at $37.06 which is the normal amount since I am on a different shared plan with friends. I have adjusted the monthly budgeted amount to account for the increase over the previous bill and this still fits in nicely with my total utility budget for the month under the zero based budget strategy.
The electric bill came in at $39.89 which is not too bad considering what it was last month. We are getting into the hotter part of the year AND I will be getting a new room mate so I expect the bill to go up a lot more, even with the split.
