Welcome to tracking of income and expenses for the month. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
Income for the month to date: $30.42
Expenses for the month to date: $1685.59
Net effect: -$1655.17
Since the last report I have gotten some interest and some advertising money as income for the blog. I spent $27.04 on food this week…shrimp and scallops are expensive…but since I don’t eat chicken I have to make the sacrifice sometimes.
I used two $0.75 coupons on the shrimp today so I am transferring that $1.50 to the Coupon Savings account in ING to register how much I am saving by using coupons.
I spent $10.81 on a new shirt for work because I ripped another one that I could not repair. It originally cost $30.00 but was on clearance and I nabbed the last one in my size today!!!!!!!
I am about halfway through my ‘spending’ for the month but that is okay because the biggest bills (rent, loan payments, electricity) are all due during the first week of the month.
I really only have small stuff left like food, savings (classified as a bill) and small credit card payments left until I get paid again at the end of the month.
Good deed for the day.
I saw an older gentleman behind me who had some packs of toilet paper that I had a coupon for. I fished it out of my book and gave it to him and he thanked me for it.
Me: Here you go sir. Save some money on that toilet paper.
Guy: Thank you young ‘un. We gotta save all the money we can in these times. *waves at me as I leave with my stuff* Thanks again little lady!
All together now…..awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
