Today while I was doing laundry I found twenty cents on the folding table. Now before you guys go knocking me for taking the money here is what happened. I went in to do my laundry. It takes 35 minutes to wash and 45 minutes to dry.
I put my laundry into the washer and the two dimes were lying on the folding table. There were various washers going so I know that different people were there. I went away to do some stuff while the clothes washed. When I came back 35 minutes later, some of the clothes that had been washed were drying and there were new laundry bags and baskets lying around.
This means that more people had come in and walked out. I assumed that the coins belonged to someone who was washing when I got in but when I counted the dryers that were going they corresponded to the original number of washers. The coins were still lying on the folding table but they were pushed to a different area.
I put my clothes in to dry and left. When I got back 45 minutes later the coins were still on the folding table….in a different spot. I figured that the money was lying there for over an hour and everyone kept pushing the coins all around the folding table so they did not want it. Therefore I picked up the two dimes and they are now part of my found money.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
Wow you were much more patient than I would have been. I would have picked those suckers up the first time I saw them. Found money ROCKS!!
Well I was waiting to see if the person who put them on the table would realize when they came to dry the clothes, or to fold them.
I also said maybe someone else would pick them up when they came in to wash and saw the money just lying there.
I guess two dimes are just not worth it to some people. If only they thought hey I see two dimes, now if I only had five cents more that would be one quarter….which I could use for laundry!!!
