Just got back from Paphos in Cyprus and what a great place it really is. I was amazed how friendly the people are how relaxed the whole place is. Must admit though as a tourist we did pay slightly over the odds at restaurants and for things like car hire too. My poor credit card took a right hammering over there and I am not looking forward to the bill. I actually took cards over with me as I was told in Cyprus they accept switch card/Maestro which was cool.
My tip to save money on holiday (if self catering) is to do a big shop at a local supermarket for things like fish, potatoes, meat, rice and pasta so you can stay back one or two nights and cook for yourself. Going on holiday is great but can be quite expensive. We also made our own lunch and took it down to the beach with us.
Anyone else got any ideas on how to save money when on holiday???
Yeah, with all the Holidays coming up, it’s very important to keep your mind on savings. We’ll soon be blasted by numerous commercials saying “Buy, buy, buy!!”.
