Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$53.72 for household items. I bought two bottles of lotion because I go through them quickly, especially during the dry winter months. I also got a rice cooker that goes in the microwave. My rice cooking skills are non-existent but this little plastic container gives perfect rice every time. I’m also trying to stock up on a lot of items before the weather gets worse. That way I will have to make fewer trips to the store in the snow.

$63.72 for three new tops for work. I got two with short sleeves that can go under jackets and cardigans for a layered look. I also got one sweater that looks classy and professional that I can also wear for work. Originally I purchased one of each in the store because I need to try out clothing to check the fit. Then I go back online and purchase additional colors. This is beneficial because I earn extra cash back from using Rakuten/Ebates.
