Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $204.52
Expenses for the month to date: $1224.59
Net effect: -$1020.07
This month was good so far for income because I got some payments from sponsors in different areas. I do some private ads on this blog and I hope that they generate good traffic for my sponsors. I also took part in some surveys last month that I completely forgot about and some mini opps on another site, that brought in $28. I was very happy to see that money come in because I was not expecting it and I have been spending more in gas than I had planned on because of going to the hospital so often to be with my mother.
I also got a $10 referral from ING (where I host my emergency fund) because someone used my link to open a new high yield account. If you are interested in receiving a $25 bonus for opening a new account remember to hit me up and I will send you the link to get it. Free $25 could go towards gas !!!!!!
Expenses for the month to date consist of the rent and utilities I have mentioned earlier. My electric bill will come out of my account on the 10th and at $47 it is much lower than the $75 I had budgeted for it. That extra money will be a snowflake payment to a credit card to bring down the balance.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
(Remember to enter the drawing for a FREE Gas card from How I Save Money to lower YOUR gas bill in July.)
I love this website! I am going to put you on my blog roll! I hope you don’t mind. By the way tell me how to get that 25 dollars eh?
Dody, I sent you the email to get the bonus…so I hope it works out for both of us.
Please check your junk mail in case you do not see it.

Wow, I just found your site and I like it already. I’m glad I found it as your site is very similar to the one I just started. I will be keeping an eye on your progress and watching to see how things go for you!
While my blog serves one purpose and is not the “business” that I do (as you demonstrate with this post), taking care of yourself financially is a wonderful feeling (and great for your bank account)!
I think you should earn more than you spend:)
@ Paulette
How do you suggest I do that?
