I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.

This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.

So again to clarify (since I get so many questions), this shows the cash FLOW for the month. On Day 2 of every month I will have a negative FLOW because I have paid rent etc so money has LEFT my checking account. I have not had any money come in on Day 2 of the current month since I got paid on day 27 or 30 or 31 of the previous month so that income is counted for LAST month.

twentyIncome for the month to date: $161.94

Expenses for the month to date: $1481.12

Net effect: -$1319.18

Since the last posting I paid the internet bill and got $28.32 income from miscellaneous sources. I also received $15.68 from my Lending Club investment…I strongly urge you to set up an account if you are looking for an alternate source of income, although it is risky if you pick the wrong loans.

I spent $90.69 on food for the week, including one more box of lobster tails because I love them so much!!!! This is my first grocery shopping trip for the month and I still have over $100 left in the budget. I redeemed $1.00 in coupons on this shopping trip but found some coupons in the bread that I bought that I will be using next time I get bread.

I received a $10 customer bonus for referring someone to ING!!!! If you do not already have an ING account and would like a referral please let me know in the comments or send me a message on the Contact page to get one. You receive a bonus for opening a new account with ING and I get a bonus for referring a new customer. Once your account is open you can also begin to send out your own referrals to friends and family and earn some bonuses for yourself.

I paid $164.62 in electricity which is REALLY high for me but I was battling the crazy snow and ice like everyone else and the heater kept coming on all day long. I am rolling my electricity budget over every month so while this month is higher than the budgeted amount of $100 it will start to average out as the bill goes down.

I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
