Income for the month to date: $2663.06
Expenses for the month to date: $1217.01
Net effect: $1446.05
I spent some more money getting food and a few other items for the house. I? am over my food budget of $100 already and I realize that I will have to rethink that budget amount because it is just not realistic right now.
I have not gained any income yet but I do see a few dollars coming in from some sponsored posts in the next few days so I am not worried.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
I though $100 sounded a little low. I would expect 125 for groceries and then a little bit more for eating out a couple of times during the month. The formula we use is 125 per person for groceries and 25 per person for eating out. This has worked pretty well when we were paying off debt.
Thanks for the comment Saving Freak. I did have a budget of $20 for eating out as well and that lasts for over a week. What I would do is order the 555 special from Domino’s and even if I eat pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner it lasts over a week.
So then $100 for the next three weeks was usually good.
I went over my budget now because I have been getting salmon from WalMart and at $5 for two pieces…well you can see how that works out.
