I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
So again to clarify (since I get so many questions), this shows the cash FLOW for the month. On Day 2 of every month I will have a negative FLOW because I have paid rent etc so money has LEFT my checking account. I have not had any money come in on Day 2 of the current month since I got paid on day 27 or 30 or 31 of the previous month so that income is counted for LAST month.
Income for the month to date: $203.98
Expenses for the month to date: $3120.05
Net effect: -$2916.07
Since the last posting I paid $21.27 to fill up the rental to return it to the rental place and paid the $250 deductible to get my car fixed. The repairs were very well done and I cannot even tell that the car was ever damaged. I spent $35.90 on food, of which $13.05 was spent on two bags of cherries. I know some people say that eating healthy is cheap….but $13 for two bags of cherries is quite a bit. I also bought some blue berries to supplement my 3 fruit servings for the day, but passed on the strawberries because they looked sickly in the store.
I know my expenses look much higher than around this time last month but remember that I had to pay the $250 deductible for repairs after The Accident and I filled up the tank of the rental car…and it has a bigger tank than my car. I made sure to return it on full even though I received it around half tank because I just did not want to have the hassle of the rental gas charges.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!
Oh, I like that “continue your journey to save money and become debt free!”. I want to become debt free too, that’s why I am here to learn from you, haha… 🙂
